Submissions - PLEASE READ!

The themes for stories on this site are narrowly focussed: The consequences of major damage or change to the natural environment and how that might affect humans in the near to far future; The efforts to deal (or not) with this increasing environmental damage and consequently what it means to be human. Please restrict submissions to stories that in some way deal with these themes.

Also, if you are going to submit something for publishing - PLEASE indicate whether you are prepared to consider editorial suggestions or not - if I REALLY like something but have some issues with the story and the author is not interested in any changes, I might still publish it . . it depends how much I like the story . .

Due to increasing numbers of submissions and decreasing amounts of time that I can spend reading submissions, the process for submission is now as follows:

  • Submit a ONE SENTENCE (less than 20 words) summary of the story.
  • If I like the one sentence summary I will then request that you submit a ONE PARAGRAPH (less than 100 words) summary of the story.
  • If I like the one paragraph summary I will then request that you submit the story itself.
  • I will probably reject the story if it has not "grabbed" me after a page or so.

Please use the mailing address on the "Contact Us" page for submitting drafts.
